Inspired by this homeschooling mama and encouraged by all the fun they had here, the children and I embarked on a Peeps science adventure
We started by using our senses to simply observe:
Look

Smell

Listen

Taste

and, of course, Touch.
The children recorded the observations in their science journals

Then came the real fun. What happens if you put a Peep in the sunlight?
Not much.
What happens if you put a Peep in the oven?
A little bit more.
What happens if you put a Peep in the microwave?

Awesomeness!
We did other stuff too but after the microwave everything else pretty much fell short on the cool-o-meter.

She’s almost nine months.

She crawls (sometimes cruises). She can sit well on her own.

It was time to graduate from the kitchen sink to a real bathtub.

SHE. LOVED. IT!

Oh, if only that enthusiasm could be transferred to her siblings.

Woke up this morning to a Dora covered in this. I foolishly left the lid off last night and even more foolishly left it within her reach. On the upside it’s safe to ingest so no harm, no foul there and her hands are very soft and supple today.
Kind of reminded me of the time my niece, now well on her way to to being a beautiful young lady, used her naptime to ever so carefully coat a clock/radio in Vaseline. Fun times.
