Funny Things They’ve Said
September 5th, 2009 by Toni*Brother opens the mailbox to find his much anticipated Lego magazine and comments in a deadpan way, “Now there’s something you don’t see everyday.”
*At the museum looking at a room re-created from the Old West Sister exclaims, “Oh look, they had a hidden air vent … *pause* … well, they probably didn’t have those.
Ha ha! Leslie’s been in the habit of saying, “No!” every time I tell her to do something. So my mom started asking her, “What do you say to Mamaw (or Mommy)?” To which she would faithfully reply, “Yes!” Until last weekend when she heard my step-sister chiding my niece in her own special way. Now when I ask Leslie, “What do you say to Mommy?” She responds, “No, MA’AM!” It gets me every time!
