Unresolving
January 1st, 2007 by ToniI am tired of making new year resolutions. Something about the very action implies that change can be assigned a day and time to happen - “on this day I will no longer over eat” or “at this time I will stop being a perfectionist.” From my experience this is simply not true. Change is a truly fickle thing. Like the watched pot that never boils it doesn’t seem to happen when I’m looking. Only when I look back over the traveled path can I notice the difference. So my one resolution for this year is to stop looking. This year I will enjoy the journey. Check back in December - We’ll see how it turns out.
